Victorian Snake Scale Gold Filled Chain

This hard to find chain features scale like links in rose gold filled. It has retained it's original spring ring which opens with a firm squeeze with your nails on the clasp. It measures 18 3/4" and is 3/8" thick. It would suit a woman or a man. One could also attach a large locket or pendant on the spring ring. The wear to the gold filled is apparent in the photos, but in hand it looks to be in very good condition. Circa 1880.
