Victorian sterling silver intaglio ring with motto. "Take heed Juno" and dog

This large intaglio ring is suited for a man or woman due to its impressive size. The ring bears the motto "Take Heed Juno" as well as a dog which is appearing to be walking at a quick pace. In Roman mythology, Juno is the queen of gods and is also considered the goddess of marriage and childbirth. Dogs also depict the idea of Fidelity in antique pieces. The ring is in excellent condition for its age as pictured and is just shy of a size 9 on a ring mandrel. The carved stone which appears to be Carnelian but may be another material measures 3/4 of an inch by 5/8 of an inch. It is unmarked but was tested with silver testing acid as sterling silver. This is a beautiful and unique ring not to be missed!
