Victorian 18k Gold Blue Enamel Diamond Wings Pendant/ Brooch with 4.8mm Diamond Charm

On hold. This truly captivating jewel combines a playful winged motif with blue enamel and diamonds. I adore the tiny star which adorns the top!
The wings are a rich deep yellow 18k gold and are embellished with blue enamel and tiny rose cut diamonds which subtly twinkle and catch the light. The enamel is in excellent condition for the Jewel's great age with perhaps slight wear near the center. The dangling diamond 14k charm sparkles like a little disco ball and is very white. It measures approximately 4.75 mms in diameter. It was added and is removable. The diamond charm is also antique. The diamond looks beautiful in person, however I am not a gemologist so cannot grade it. Under a loupe there is an area of a cluster of tiny black pin prick dots which are not seen to the naked eye. Under magnification we see that the culet is visible and it has a raised crown which indicates an older cut stone. It is very brilliant and white and wont be overlooked! The14k chain is more modern but has a nice box clasp with a safety clasp. The pendant brooch weighs 5.96 grams.Chain not included in this sale.
