This estate 14k white gold horseshoe ring will be your everyday go to jewel! The horseshoe has been a symbol for good luck since ancient times since it is associated with the crescent moon shape, which symbolized the protection of the goddesses. This ring has 11 "single cut" diamonds which are fully faceted stones with a cutelet and table. They feature 17 facets and were used until about the 1940s. White gold was successfully formulated in the early 20th century and first patented in Germany in 1912. It soared in popularity in the 1920s as an alternative to platinum. Its popularity increased during world war II when Platinum was needed for the war effort.
The ring is a size 7 3/4. One diamond has a tiny chip on the outer girdle and visible inclusion under 10 x loupe. The others are clear under 10x.
