Antique Victorian 14k Gold Pendant with chunky Amethysts!

This gorgeous late Victorian pendant features big chunky cut amethyst with large facets which are pinkish purple in certain light and are beautifully framed by multiple prongs. In a crown setting. It appears that it used to be a brooch and in antiquity a beautiful 14 karat gold bale was added. This beautiful pendant looks good on various thicknesses of chain or it could be worn on a satin cord. The weight is 8 g. The length is approximately 2  1/4 in. The gold of the pendant tests strongly for 14k and the bale is stamped 14k.
