Antique 10k Gold signet Ring Pan Gargoyle west Wind God 10 grams

The Grandfather Ring.

This weighty antique ring is circa 1900 beautiful ring features a highly stylized face on both shoulders which could be interpreted as the Westery Wind, Pan or possibly a Gargoyle. It is crafted of warm, rich yellow gold and bears an unusual hallmark. While not stamped for gold content, it has been tested and guaranteed. It weighs exactly 10 grams, which makes it feel quite substantial and feels nice on the finger. The size is  approximately 7.5. The face is beautifully sculpted and the curls which spread from the subjects head may represent the wind, or perhaps horns (Pan). In either case, despite the appearance of this face I get a good feeling when handling and wearing this ring. This ring is in very good condition for it's great age, with facial details intact and buffing/ polishing is not recommended. Most rings of this age with embossed figures on the shoulders have worn down with age, but this one is quite detailed.
