14k Bloomed Gold Victorian Brooch with Turquoise Cabochons

This beautiful antique brooch is a rich bloomed gold in 14k. Blooming gold was a process in which acid was applied a gold in order to remove the metal alloy on the surface. The result is a soft, satin surface.
The brooch, with its oval shape, is a sort of buckle motif. It has a slight curve and could look beautiful on a ribbon as a bracelet, or worn to cinch a shirt as shown. It weighs a significant 7.3 grams. The Cabochons appear to be turquoise. They have a smooth surface without nicks. One is slightly lighter blue.
